Julie,

I know exactly what you mean! Lately I've been experiencing difficulties that I'm not used to, and I'm kinda like, "hey, what the heck is going on here? Life isn't supposed to be this hard." I'll have to check out that book, because it sounds really cute. I think the Mrs. and I could get a kick out of it.

The key is to not let the glitches get you down. They're going to show up, and they're no fun to deal with, but you'll get through them. I tell my clients with anxiety that as long as you're breathing, you're going to be OK. :)

Jim, you said, "See, even if difficulty comes your way, eventually you have to make choices about how you’re going to handle them. The sooner you resolve that, and take control of what you can change the better."

It's funny because I kind of expect life to go smoothly and when it doesn't, I'm surprised. If I looked at reality, however, I would expect glitches and just work through them.

The children's book, We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen adresses this issue in a cute way.

Thanks for the reminder that life doesn't flow smoothly, but we can still choose our responses.
