Thanks so much for your support Dan! My goal in making things a bit more mainstream is for people to get over the idea that you're less of a person if you're thinking or feeling is a bit off. I just read your interview with Sarah Melville, and it perked my interest when she started talking about her alter egos and how they affect what she does.

A couple of places I'm associated with are NKM2.org and StopandThinkRadio.com. I'm sure there are more out there, but it would be nice if we could all organize and get things moving in the right direction.

Food for thought. Thanks again for your support, and I'll be keeping an eye on your blog as well.

Hi Jim. I came over here after seeing you on Jonathan's blog.

I do a lot of work on mental health issues (mainly on mental health and debt - I sit on a couple of government steering groups here in the UK). I've come across some incredible proejcts this side of the Pond, most notably One in Four magazine, an aspirational magazine for people with mental health difficulties. There are some big campaigns on reducing stigma here in the UK - most notably Time For Change.

I blog about the publishing world, but because I have a particular interest in mental health the two often overlap. I've been a big critic of the self-help industry, because I think it can do a lot of damage to people with depression (I blogged on the subject just this week http://agnieszkasshoes.blogspot.com/2009/08/you-make-you-own-luck-if-want-it-badly.html) It's nice to see someone who is connected with self-help actually trying to tackle the issue sensitively and seriously.

Very best wishes to you,

Dan
